‘And Solomon Built Gezer’

For the past 30 years, certain scholars have discredited the Solomonic dating of the famous six-chambered gate at Tel Gezer, saying it was built after his time. However, two recent academic papers published in the Jerusalem Journal of Archaeology have produced clear evidence that Gezer was indeed built up during King Solomon’s time.

On today’s program, host Brent Nagtegaal takes you on a tour of Gezer, highlighting the latest evidence supporting Solomonic-period construction.
