Mr. Armstrong also supported the ICCY from Pasadena. In January 1975, the Ambassador Foundation held a benefit concert featuring Arthur Rubenstein, arguably the world’s greatest pianist and a friend of Mr. Armstrong’s, who donated his services for the event. Rubenstein loved the Ambassador Auditorium Steinway piano so much that he sometimes had Mr. Armstrong ship it to him for his other concerts.
