Excavation of the Entire Siloam Pool Begins

Talking with the City of David Foundation about an excavation two decades in the making

In 2004, a portion of the largest ritual bath in Jerusalem was discovered in the southern part of the City of David. This pool is mentioned in the book of John as the location of the healing of a man who was blind from birth. Finally, after almost 20 years of waiting, excavation has begun on the rest of the huge pool.

On today’s program, host Brent Nagtegaal discusses the renewed excavation of the Siloam Pool with Ze’ev Orenstein, director of international affairs for the City of David Foundation.
