Unearthing the Tabernacle Site at Shiloh: Interview With Dr. Abigail Van Huss
Another excavation season at Tel Shiloh—the location of the biblical judges-period tabernacle—has ended. As has become tradition, our staff were there to interview the director about the findings. This time, however, the interview was not with regular Let the Stones Speak podcast guest and Shiloh excavation director Dr. Scott Stripling. Instead, host Christopher Eames interviewed Dr. Abigail Van Huss, who recently earned her Ph.D. and is co-director at the site.
On today’s program, Dr. Van Huss explains the three areas of excavation, including further indication that an emerging monumental structure may indeed be the biblical tabernacle. She also discusses an extracurricular excavation at Khirbet er-Rafid and how the war situation has affected excavations.
