New Archaeological Evidence of King Hezekiah’s Religious Reform

“The historicity of Hezekiah’s reforms is a hotly debated topic, and as the historical credibility of the biblical texts gradually eroded, so the reliance on archaeological data increased,” so begins a new academic paper from Prof. Avraham Faust of Bar Ilan University, published in the Jerusalem Journal of Archaeology. Faust then proceeds to document brand-new archeological evidence he discovered at Tel ‘Eton in southern Israel that supports the biblical case for King Hezekiah’s reform.

On today’s program, host Brent Nagtegaal explains the new evidence in the context of the biblical narrative.
